Care Facilities Directions

The purpose of these directions is to make provision for restricted access to care facilities in order to limit the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) within a particularly vulnerable population, balancing the need to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2 against the broader responsibilities of care facilities to the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of their clients.

The Care Facilities Directions (No. 37) come into force at 11.59pm 20 July 2021 and replace the Care Facilities Directions (No. 36).

Diagnosed Persons and Close Contacts Directions

These directions replace the Isolation (Diagnosis) directions and require persons diagnosed with coronavirus to self-isolate and persons who are living with a diagnosed person, or who have been in close contact with a diagnosed person, to self-quarantine.

The Diagnosed Persons and Close Contacts Directions (No. 24) come into force at 11.59pm 1 July 2021 and replace the Diagnosed Persons and Close Contacts Directions (No. 23).

Hospital Visitor Directions

The purpose of these directions is to prohibit certain visits to hospitals in order to limit the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

The Hospital Visitor Directions (No. 33) come into force at 11.59pm 20 July 2021 and replace the Hospital Visitor Directions (No. 32).

Stay at Home Directions (Victoria)

The purpose of these directions is to address the serious public health risk posed to the State of Victoria by the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). 

The Stay at Home Directions (Victoria) (No. 3) come into force at 11.59pm 20 July 2021 and replace the Stay at Home Directions (No. 2).

Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria)

The purpose of these directions is to restrict the operation of certain businesses and undertakings in the State of Victoria to address the serious public health risk posed to Victoria by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). 

The Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria) (No. 19) come into force at 11.59pm 20 July 2021 and replace the Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria) (No. 18). 

Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions

The purpose of these directions is to replace the Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions, in order to limit the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

The Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions (No. 24) come into force at 9:00pm on 23 July 2021. They replace Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions (No. 23).

Workplace Directions

The purpose of these directions is to is to limit the number of Victorians attending Work Premises to assist in reducing the frequency and scale of outbreaks of SARS-CoV-2 in Victorian workplaces and to establish more specific obligations on employers and workers in relation to managing the risk associated with SARS-CoV-2.

The Workplace Directions (No. 38) come into force at 11.59pm 20 July 2021 and replace the Workplace Directions (No. 37).

Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions

The purpose of these directions is to establish additional specific obligations on employers and workers in specific industries in relation to managing the risk associated with SARS-CoV-2.

The Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions (No. 33) come into force at 11.59pm 15 July 2021 and replace the Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions (No. 32).
