State of Emergency

Extends the current Declaration of State of Emergency through to 11.59pm 15 March 2021. Signed by Minister for Health, Martin Foley, MP.

Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions

The purpose of these directions is to replace the Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions and make minor clarifications to some restrictions currently in place, in order to limit the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions (No 6) come into force at 11:59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace Victorian Border Crossing Permit Directions (No 5).

Revocation of Border Crossing Permit Scheme Directions

The purpose of these directions is to prevent prohibited persons who have visited or are from a red zone and/or are required to self-quarantine in the State of South Australia from entering Victoria; and require restricted persons who have visited or are from an orange zone; or a green zone, in the State of South Australia to carry a permit when entering Victoria. 

The Border Crossing Permit Scheme Directions (No 2) are revoked with effect from 11:59pm 12 December 2020.

Revocation of Area Directions

Area Directions identify areas within Victoria which have a higher prevalence of, or risk of exposure to, coronavirus (COVID-19) and which are subject to specific directions which are reasonably necessary to protect public health.

The Area Directions (No 9) are revoked with effect from 11:59pm on 8 November 2020.

Stay Safe Directions (Victoria)

The purpose of these directions is to address the serious public health risk posed to the State of Victoria by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

The Stay Safe Directions (Victoria) (No 16) come into force at 11.59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace the Stay Safe Directions (Victoria) (No 15).

Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria)

The purpose of these directions is to restrict the operation of certain businesses and undertakings in the Restricted Areas in order to limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Restricted Activity Directions (Victoria) (No 9) come into force at 11.59pm 26 February 2021 and replace the Restricted Activity Directions (No 8).

Revocation Metro-Regional Work Travel Permit Scheme Directions

These directions establish the Metro-Regional Work Travel Permit Scheme Directions.  The Metro-Regional Work Travel Permit Scheme Directions are revoked with effect from 11:59:00pm on 8 November 2020.

 

Workplace Directions

The purpose of these directions is to is to limit the number of Victorians attending Work Premises to assist in reducing the frequency and scale of outbreaks of SARS-CoV-2 in Victorian workplaces and to establish more specific obligations on employers and workers in relation to managing the risk associated with SARS-CoV-2.

The Workplace Directions (No 21) come into force at 11.59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace the Workplace Directions (No 20).

Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions

The purpose of these directions is to establish additional specific obligations on employers and workers in specific industries in relation to managing the risk associated with SARS-CoV-2.

The Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions (No 18) come into force at 11.59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace the Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions (No 17).

Care facilities

The purpose of these directions is to make provision for restricted access to care facilities in order to limit the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) within a particularly vulnerable population, balancing the need to limit the spread of SARS-CoV-2 against the broader responsibilities of care facilities to the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of their clients.

The Care Facilities Directions (No 23) come into force at 11:59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace the Care Facilities Directions (No 22).

Diagnosed persons and close contacts

These directions replace the Isolation (Diagnosis) directions and require persons diagnosed with coronavirus to self-isolate and persons who are living with a diagnosed person, or who have been in close contact with a diagnosed person, to self-quarantine.

The Diagnosed Persons and Close Contacts Directions (No 17) come into force at 11:59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace the Diagnosed Persons and Close Contacts Directions (No 16).

Hospital visitors

The purpose of these directions is to prohibit certain visits to hospitals in order to limit the spread of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2).

The Hospital Visitor Directions (No 21) come into force at 11:59pm on 26 February 2021 and replace the Hospital Visitor Directions (No 20).

Revocation of airport arrivals and cruise ships directions

This direction revokes the Airport arrivals and Cruise ship docking directions, recognising that both have now been superseded by the compulsory quarantine Direction and Detention notice.
