Minister for Families and Children, Jenny Mikakos announced that more than 250 people have been recruited to new roles in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in the first months of the recruitment drive.
A child protection recruitment and advertising campaign was also launched earlier this month to help engage candidates. The ad campaign is aimed at attracting students and professionals with social work, community welfare and health qualifications, as well as former child protection practitioners returning to the profession.
The digital, print, social and radio advertising campaign features child protection practitioners talking about what the role means to them. It is supported by a new website with more information for potential candidates.
