Eight new Supercare pharmacies have opened around the state, offering care and advice 24/7:

  • Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Parkville
  • Mildura
  • Shepparton
  • Ringwood
  • Cranbourne North
  • Melton
  • Hoppers Crossing
  • Keilor.

Since launching in 2017, hundreds of thousands of Victorians have visited a Supercare pharmacy. At Supercare pharmacies, a pharmacist is onsite around the clock, and a free nursing service is available 6pm - 10pm for help with mild temperatures, allergies, rashes, minor cuts and burns, strains and sprains, nausea and gastro.

They can also offer immunisations, health screening including blood pressure checks, blood sugar and urine testing, sexual health advice and referrals to GPs and other services.

“It’s such a great service for parents, especially when you need medical advice or treatment late at night,” Melbourne resident Rebecca said about her local Supercare.

“I took my daughter there when she developed a temperature in the middle of the night, and I’ve used the free nurse service myself,” she said.

“I cut my finger while I was cooking, and it wouldn’t stop bleeding. The nurse dressed the wound properly and it was free of charge.”

With little wait time Supercare Pharmacies are a real alternative to visiting a busy hospital emergency department. Bookings or a Medicare card are not required for the nursing service.
