Victoria has recorded no new cases of coronavirus since yesterday and there are no cases currently active.  

This is the 38th straight day where Victoria has recorded zero daily cases. There were no new deaths and the state’s death toll remains at 820. 

A total of 3,633,158 test results have been received in Victoria which is an increase of 4912 since yesterday. 

Two international travellers who are in mandatory quarantine in Victoria, after arriving in Sydney on Saturday and boarding a domestic flight to Melbourne without quarantining in NSW will receive a second test this afternoon. These tests will be given a high priority and results are expected later today.

The travellers have already returned negative results to tests that were taken on Saturday and will remain in mandatory quarantine for 14 days. They will be tested again on day 11 of their quarantine.

174 people have been identified as close contacts from Virgin Airways flight VA838 from Sydney to Melbourne that departed Sydney at noon on Saturday and arrived in Melbourne at 1.45pm. This includes 168 passengers, four crew and two pilots.

In addition, five staff who spoke with the overseas travellers at Melbourne Airport have been identified as close contacts.

Anyone who has been at the Melbourne Airport domestic terminal 3 on Saturday afternoon is advised to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and to get tested if they develop symptoms, no matter how mild.

Melbourne Airport is not a current risk to the public and you may continue to visit the airport, in line with current restrictions. 

The Victorian Government is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation in South Australia and will be guided by the health advice. 

A permit is required to enter Victoria from South Australia unless an exemption applies. Permits are available from the Service Victoria website.
