Victoria was notified of two new case of COVID-19 yesterday - both overseas travellers in hotel quarantine.
There have been no new locally acquired cases recorded in Victoria.
This is the fifth day in a row of no new locally acquired cases.
There was two COVID-19 case in hospital in Victoria yesterday.
There were 23 active cases in Victoria – 5 are locally acquired and 18 are overseas acquired cases.
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,716.
Update: Travel permits
The following areas are red zones under Victoria’s travel permit system:
- NSW LGAs in Greater Sydney, including Central Coast, Shellharbour, Blue Mountains and Wollongong, effective 1:00am AEST Friday 25 June.
- Queensland LGAs of City of Brisbane, Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast, effective 1:00am AEST Wednesday 30 June.
The following areas are orange zones under Victoria’s travel permit system:
- Perth Metropolitan Region and Peel Region in WA, effective 1:00am AEST Sunday 4 July
- The Queensland LGAs of Ipswich, Logan, Redland, Gold Coast, Lockyer Valley, Noosa, Scenic Rim and Somerset, effective 1:00am AEST Sunday 4 July
- Townsville LGA (including Magnetic Island) and Palm Island in QLD, effective 1:00am AEST Sunday 4 July
- Alice Springs and Greater Darwin, effective 11.59pm AEST on Friday 2 July.
- The ACT and all other LGAs in NSW
Queensland Health has recently added new exposure sites within the Noosa LGA.
The Acting Chief Health Officer is actively reviewing the zone designation for the Noosa LGA. Recent arrivals are reminded to get tested in line with their permit obligations, and continue to check local exposure sites and monitor for symptoms.
The Acting Chief Health Officer advises strongly against non-essential travel to red or orange zones.
506 text messages have been sent to downgraded WA red zone arrivals and 3617 to downgraded QLD red zone arrivals, advising them of their new reduced obligations.
Over the past 24 hours, Victoria Police conducted 1217 checks on Victoria’s land borders.
Yesterday, Household Engagement Teams made 252 visits, including 239 to red zone permit holders from NSW.
Nine contacts are being escalated to health services for investigation and potential referral to Victoria Police.
You must have a valid permit, exception or exemption to enter Victoria, even if entering from a green zone.
Victoria’s COVID-19 outbreaks remain stable.
Of the more than 200 Primary Close Contacts linked to the Sandringham Workplace cases, 67 had been cleared as of yesterday.
All primary close contacts remaining linked to the Epping Private outbreak from last month have been cleared.
Six active Primary Close Contacts remain in Victoria linked with the Tanami Mine site.

The Department also manages exposure sites that it doesn’t publish online, particularly if these sites represent lower-risk exposures, if they have comprehensive record-keeping and contact tracing measures, or if they identify small, private locations.
Exposure sites are regularly reviewed based on intelligence and evidence, following case interviews.
Yesterday, 13,086 vaccine doses were administered by Victoria’s state-commissioned services.
The total number of doses administered at these services to 1,166,277.
More than 120,000 vaccines were administered in the past week, including more than 73,000 second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.
