Victoria has recorded no new cases of coronavirus since yesterday and there are no cases currently active.
This is the 36th straight day where Victoria has recorded zero daily cases. There were no new deaths and the state’s death toll remains at 820.
A total of 3,619,869 test results have been received in Victoria which is an increase of 7670 since yesterday.
A positive test result has been recorded in a previously known Victorian COVID-19 case, the case is not showing any COVID-19 symptoms and has no known links to any confirmed cases or high-risk settings.
The case history was reviewed last night by the Expert Review Panel. The panel agreed the result was consistent with persistent shedding and that the case was not infectious.
Public health actions have been stood down and this case is not recorded in today’s numbers.
The Victorian Government is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation in South Australia and will be guided by the health advice.
A permit is required to enter Victoria from South Australia unless an exemption applies. Permits are available from the Service Victoria website.
