Victoria has been notified of no new cases of coronavirus since yesterday.
This is the 59th day in a row that no new cases have been acquired in Victoria.
The total number of confirmed cases in Victoria since the beginning of the pandemic is 20,509.
Update: contact tracing
Work continues to test, trace and isolate individuals associated with the interstate acquired case announced Friday.
The individual’s 4 household and social contacts have tested negative.
All 260 passengers, air and ground crew of interest to Victoria from QF778 have been contacted and advised to quarantine and get tested. 216 have returned a negative result.
The remainder of the flight’s passengers are in other states and have been formally referred to the relevant health authorities for their ongoing management.
58 arrivals in Victoria have identified as having attended WA exposure sites and are also required to quarantine for 14 days. 52 have tested negative.
More than 2000 red zone permit holders have been contacted and advised of their obligation to get tested and quarantine for 14 days. 462 have so far returned a negative result.
Victorian health officials have contacted 9,308 people who are now considered orange zone arrivals advising them of their obligations to isolate and test. 2,965 have to date returned a negative test.

Exposure sites
A full list of Western Australian exposure sites can be seen at Healthy WA.
Anyone who has attended a Western Australian exposure site during the time frame of interest should immediately quarantine and contact the Victorian Department of Health on 1300 651 160 – if they haven’t already done so.
The Victorian Department of Health has listed the following as a Tier 1 exposure site:
- Qantas flight QF778 from Perth to Melbourne on Wednesday 21 April
Anyone who was on this flight must get tested and remain in self-quarantine for 14 days.
The Department has listed the following as a Tier 2 exposure site:
- Melbourne Airport Terminal 1 between 7pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday 21 April
Anyone who was at this location during these times must isolate, get tested and remain isolated until they receive a negative result.
WA red zones
Metropolitan Perth and the Peel region have been designated red zones under Victoria’s travel permit system, effective from 2:01am on 24 April 2021.
Only Victorian residents travelling from the red zones are allowed to return to Victoria. They must apply for a red zone travel permit and will be required to quarantine for 14 days.
Non-Victorian residents will not be permitted into Victoria. Authorised officers at airports will be checking all arriving Perth aircraft for appropriate permits. Anyone not complying will be housed in Hotel Quarantine until a return flight can be arranged.
Anyone who has arrived into Victoria from Perth and the Peel region from 17 April until red zones came into effect must isolate, get tested, and stay isolated until negative.
Update: Vaccinations
A total of 516 COVID-19 vaccination doses were administered yesterday by state commissioned services across Victoria.
This brings the total number of vaccine doses administered by the Department as of yesterday to 188,259.
Today the high-volume vaccination centre at the Mercure Ballarat opened its doors to the eligible public.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms include fever, sore throat, cough, shortness of breath and loss or change in sense of smell or taste. If you are experiencing any symptoms, wear a fitted face mask when you get tested.
